Our Charities & Community Work

Auckland City Mission

The Auckland City Mission has supported people in need from all walks of life for 100 years and is one of the city’s most influential social service providers. None of their clients’ stories are the same and the people who come to the Mission for help come for many different reasons.
Some are isolated elderly, others are rough sleepers or people living in cars and inappropriate housing. Others are battling addictions, living with mental health issues, or struggling to feed their families over a period of unexpected crisis.
Younity is proud to be a supporter of the Auckland City Mission donating time and money to help those less fortunate in our community.

They provide transitional housing, rest home and hospital-level residential care. They welcome those in need into their community lounge and provide food parcels, budget advice, financial mentoring, and support and advocacy.
Younity is proud to be a supporter of the Wellington City Mission donating time and money to help those less fortunate in our community.

Duffy Books in Homes

Duffy Books in Homes is a charity that Younity actively supports. Duffy have been changing lives for the last 25 years, providing over 12 million books to kiwi children through partnerships with NZ businesses and lower decile schools. Their philosophy is that “It’s cool to read, and it’s cool to achieve!”, and they aim to provide books and a love of reading to kiwi kids who would not normally have that access or opportunity.

This is a cause that means a lot to us. We are committed to doing our bit to create meaningful outcomes for our communities, and Duffy Books in Homes provides a great way we can do this.

Education & Children

We believe in being good ancestors and support our tamariki with equal opportunities for a brighter future. Below are some of the ways we’re investing in the future of our children and fostering a more inclusive, tech-savvy Aotearoa.

Code Club Aotearoa

Younity partners with Digital Future Aotearoa to sponsor seven of their Code Club programmes in priority areas in Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington, reaching more than 140 kids each week, teaching them to code for free. The Clubs are either run from a local library or a school, with volunteers from the tech sector giving up one hour a week to help kids learn to code.Code Club Aotearoa is aimed at kids aged 9–13 with programmes which make tech skills accessible and fun for our tamariki.
