Winner — Sustainability Through Technology 2023
CCC’s Smart Christchurch programme co-creates and trials innovative solutions for the city — water quality monitoring, earthquake sensing, rubbish bin contents sensing and an early fire detection network. These initiatives enable better decision making, from responding to river pollution events to making rubbish collection more efficient.
2023 finalists
The 2023 finalists were announced on 20 July, with One NZ, Christchurch City Council and Quadrent all recognised for their efforts. Winners were announced on 15 August at the CIO Awards gala dinner.
